Bonnie's Wish: Week 0

     Tomorrow I'm going to start knitting Bonnie's Wish a mystery knit along by  Fiddle Knits Design. Because there were so many orders the designer had to push the cast on day back by a week (really 6 days). I admit I was kind of upset, but I didn't say anything for fear of sounding like a brat. The cast on date is tomorrow and I feel like it came up really fast. I actually like the fact that I get to start when I have a day off.
     I ordered my yarn from Knit Picks.

Its called Galileo in the colour "Quartz" (I didn't know quartzes came in this shade, but what ever).

Its really shinny and soft. 

     I'm really determined to do well on this shawl. I would describe my self as an anti-perfectionist when it comes to knitting. When I see a mistake I just ignore it. But not on this shawl (hopefully)! The first step to making a good piece is doing a gauge, which I haven't actually done. I'm scared to do so because if the needles are too big (which is likely, because I knit loosely) I don't have a size down. I'm off to a great start.
