I've been really into making breads recently. It's not as hard as I had previously thought. The above photo set is from my first bread. A little wonky, but what matters is how it tastes (thats what I tell myself). I'm going chronologically through Ultimate Bread published by DK. As all DK books are, its fabulous.
Not all of my breads turn out nice like this Daktyla. I made it again this Monday, but I forgot to take a picture! I think the first time I used too much water, and I know I used the wrong flour.
This one is a Victorian Milk Bread. You really should see the original, because the scroll design is more pronounced and less wrinkly. What really impressed me is the golden colour; I used an egg wash.
