So I've started watching Downton Abbey. My mom borrowed the first 3 seasons from her co-worker and right now I intend to watch them all, even though I haven't decided if I like it yet. If I do end up watching it I will write a summary/review/reaction after every episode. That'll pad my blog well enough.
I don't really understand what happened in this episode. I feel bad because I feel like I'm not enough of an intellectual to get it. I also I feel like I'm struggling because of their dialect for some reason. I watch British shows and I understand them, and they don't really have dialects in this show, but it's sometimes really hard to understand them. Especially the women. Hopefully It gets better.
Obviously I really love the fashion. I assume there must be a photo book of close ups somewhere and I'm already considering buying it. I loved their purple outfits. And that one sister's goth necklace during the dinner (when that Duke went upstairs. Which leads me to...).
I admit I thought that Thomas was really hot when I first saw him (I even remembered his name). The way he interacted with some of the other guys, especially the Duke I was like... *guilty laughing*. And I'm like something must be done about this. This is too much. Then when the two of them were in the room and the Duke was wearing only a robe I'm like hmmmmm (is this description making any sense?). And then, of course they kissed. I was so happy/excited. Some dreams do come true. But them immediately after when the Duke burned the love letters (I assume) I guess we were suppose to care, but I really didn't. Yeah they look good together, but I don't really care about their relationship.
Of course I'll be watching the next one, because I like to give shows a chance.
