Fantasy and Science Fiction: The Human Mind, Our Modern World

I'm currently taking Fantasy and Science Fiction: The Human Mind, Our Modern World through Coursea because I'm a busy body. I am again reminded why I have such a love/hate relationship with lit classed. The basic structure is to read a book a week then write a short essay about it. It really shouldn't be so hard for me to read the materials because I don't have school or work going on right now. The last book was Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. I planned to read 4 chapters a day, but messed up on Friday (which, in my defense was orientation, so I was busy all day). But it still works out because I'm writing my essay on the first book. But that presents another challenge. The prompt of all the essays is just to explain something in the book that will enrich the reading experience of your peers. Hmm. I kind of did okay with the last book, Grimm's fairy tales, but I'm really struggling with both of these books. I'm not finding any significance in much. So this time around, I looked up Alice's Adventures in Wonderland prompts. That's only half cheating, right? I'll find the evidence and write it on my own.
