Review of Glamour Mag

    I dislike it.
    I know I should just not read it. For some reason Land's End gave my dad a subscription, and its hard to resist. It feels like such a waste to throw out an unread magazine, but I think I will have to for my sanity.
    The most important part of a fashion magazine is the fashion, but I really don't like the ones they feature in Glamour. Its not the worst, but none of it is notable. I looked at the September issue yesterday, and I can't name one thing that will be in for fall.
    There is also a lot of other extra stuff that I don't care about. One of which is what I will tentatively call "Pop Feminism" and its when advertisers and  companies have recognized that feminism is popular right now, so they use it, even if it doesn't fit, even if they don't know much about it. They have articles about women having jobs and boobs and stuff. Its some how before feminism lvl 1. Its just boring and some times irritation.
    They also have the typical guy sex poll. I just really dislike this. It makes me pessimistic when a majority of guys are surveyed with a trait I dislike. I don't even know how the readers are suppose to interpret this information. Should they change their actions to fit what guys apparently like.
    I will give them some points because they did an interview with a transgender model, but even then it wasn't the best. They talked about some discrimination she faced in The Philippines, but then she moved to the US and got a driver's licence as a woman, then got the surgery, and they made it sound like she never had any more problems. They didn't really talk about how transgender people in the US have a hard time getting healthcare or how many can be legally fired from their job. I mean, they were on the subject.
    These features make me miss Lucky magazine. Even though I was sick of that too.
