My Progress on Yarnspiration's Knit-a-long

    If you don't know, Yarnspirations is having a mystery kal and a cal. You can look at the 1st clue here. This is the first one I've ever participated in.
     They had some pre-selected colour schemes, but I decided to go with grey, yellow, and blue.

     I chose to do the crown stitch. Its a stitch I've never done before, but after looking up a video I figured it out. Or I think I did. I have two problems with my knitting so far.
     1. I think I'm changing colours on the wrong side: (sorry for the un-rotated pic)

I sort of like the stripey colour look, but at the same time that's not how it looks in the picture. 

     2. I'm getting progressively worse at this stitch. (look at this top down, I don't know whats wrong with blogger)

The yellow row is ideal; I like the big holes. But look at the following blue and grey. What happened? It looks like such a mess.
     New clue comes out tomorrow, so I will tell you all about my progress next Monday.
