I posted a while ago about I posted about audio books. While researching (okay I only really went to audible) I discovered Amazon Whispersync. I know I said I wasn't to sure about audio books and I don't like e-readers at all, but this feature makes me reconsider the two.
This feature (program) links audio books with e-books. If you download both the audio and the ebook (for kindle and from audible. Both are from amazon.) it will keep your place in both of them. So you can be listening to a book, say at school, and when you come home to read on your kindle, it will be book marked exactly where you left off.
A drawback of this I see is the fact that you have to buy both types of books. I think this would be more popular if they offered a discount of the other form of the book after you buy the first type. I still won't do either, but whatever.
